His words ripple across the universe

like diamonds in my skies

glistening stars in my eyes

he is my unfinished poetry

a psalm to infinity

Just a girl lost in some ways, found in others. Writing my thoughts, ideas, dreams, realities, pieces of me... not all pretty~ definitely real. I'm a mother with faith in God's divine providence that my mistakes and selfishness, my immaturity and past are all part of a journey. That all is never what it seems. That good will always claim victory and there is a plan beyond what human eyes and our fallen natures can see. My three children are my miracles, my life, my blessing and they inspire me to be a better woman and human being. I hope that you and I share and learn from each other in the beauty and reality of life on this ever evolving journey. xo ~ This is a place without masks~ without broken glass paths ~ This is a place to be free To be me~Just a girl lost XxX

  1. I really liked the idea of an unfinished piety and I think I knew exactly what you meant by saying that and it was very clever, very accurate and so well worked into the rest of this beautiful piece

    • Thank you. The word ‘ripple’ was from a prompt on twitter and I didn’t want to use the obvious pond ripple. I love the idea of ripples across a universe of sky.
You are too kind, Beauty. xoxo

      • I am not being kind but appreciative of your ability and talent. I’m particularly amazed you can take a word and incorporate it seemingly with ease into a poem that’s something. I should try it myself. Well done! xoxoxxo

      • well, it’s kind of you to be so appreciative!! 😉 lol Actually, it’s not always as easy for me as it used to be, incorporating prompt words or phrases. I find it difficult of late and have to chew on it for a while. Then there are some prompts that just grab you and the words just flow from a bit of inspiration. You should try it, yes! I would love to see what you create, most definitely! xoxo

      • I find it difficult so I admire that you can at all but it is not easy as basically you are being asked to write to task and that’s hard! You are right, some prompts do that, I have never done a prompt, next time you do one, poke me or something I will do it with you too. xo

      • I’m not. I am on FB (reluctantly as I loathe it but for the sake of selling some of my dumb stuff) but not Twitter. Nevertheless you know where to find me and I’ll definitely do one with you xo

      • oh, i should have noticed the ‘poke’ ;p
I do have a facebook acct. I definitely need to get it up to date. I will look for you on there. xoxoxo

      • ok, and I’m Monique Mendez … i don’t post my poetry on there because I’m followed by a lot of priests and whatnot… 😉

      • You have a lovely name btw – I’ll try to find you as that isn’t a common name so hopefully there will not be tons of them. I can definitely see why you would want to be anon for that reason and it’s a good thing you should be able to write without fear of judgment or reprisal as we all should.

I never changed my married name… I’m the epitome of lazy. Yes, some of the mothers at my daughter’s former school are not the most Christian type.

      • seriously, I was totally addicted to FB before Twitter. FB is my ‘real life’ stuff and Twitter is my ‘anti-real life’ stuff. I have a selective memory… lol

        Liked by 1 person

      • I must confess FB can be addictive but I really despise it because it’s so fake. What I like about WP is that it’s full of really sincere people who care about helping each other write etc, I guess that sounds a bit stuffy but I really like that! I find they are so much more sincere, FB has some real trolls (us not included of course!)

      • I still like FB, but I never have gotten involved with the writing community there as I have on Twitter and here. I do feel that WP is definitely filled with more sincere and altruistic people who truly enjoy helping and supporting others. Yes. Like you! 🙂 xo

      • lol you made their day for sure if so! I will add you. Candice Daquin… that’s a gorgeous name, French? yes?

        Liked by 1 person

      • Yes. Me and Nathalie are both French but she’s from the cool part and I’m from the shitty boring part! 😉

        Liked by 1 person

      • aw, no way is anything in France shitty! 🙂 I’m from Cajun French country. My parents speak it and my grandparents did also. When we visited France they called my mother’s French ‘country french’ I forget the exact term. I know there are some Daquin’s here in fact

        Liked by 1 person

      • Yes a lot of Daquin’s in Louisiana, many are black because probably there was some asshole slave owner at some point (not a relative!) I have met a few and that’s really cool as my mom is from Egypt which is in Africa so we’re more related than I thought. I must confess to not being a real fan of France. Especially the part I hail from but someone like Nathalie well she’s a real French Doll so she makes anything French look good! She’s just cool like that!

      • Fascinating, I didn’t know that. My father’s family name is Barras and my mother’s maiden name is Chiasson. I’m adopted, so it doesn’t really matter. That’s so interesting about your family. I’m sorry you’re not a fan of France. I understand how that can be. You are a gorgeous French Doll too though! 🙂 Hugs, sweet Candice xoxox

      • Chiasson is a beautiful name. Do you know your heritage from your blood family at all? I’m not a fan of France at all but love Hispanics and live in an area of the US (TX) where there are a lot so I feel very at home here, and comfortable. Do you still live in Louisiana? I used to read James Lee Burke like a fiend and Poppy Z Brite!

      • I just saw this. 😕 Yes, I live in Louisiana. I did live in TX for many years. Dallas. No, I don’t know much about my heritage. In La. the files are sealed. I found out a little though. My birth father was of German heritage blonde hair/blue eyes, my birth mother was of French/Spanish/? She was a happy, pretty brown-eyed girl. Sent to a home for girls run by the St. Anne Nuns when she became pregnant at 16. I didn’t know you lived in TX! Cool! 💋❤️

      • Then we are twins as I live in TX now (though not Dallas, SAN ANTONIO) I like Dallas (and Ft. Worth) a lot though (GO FROGS!). But Louisianna is a great place do you like living there? I want to go again I have only been once. Ah so we are alike as I have French and Spanish also (not German) you have a beautiful mix, and being born when she was 16 you may be healthier than those babies born of older women, I hope you are, beautiful girl – I did I moved to TX to do my graduate studies and stayed! 😉 xo We should meet some day, as we are not far away I will visit again and when I do I’ll let you know and we can meet up xo

      • Such serendipity between us! We are rather close, relatively speaking! I’ve only been to San Antonio for a wedding, but my mother has close relatives living there. It’s a lovely city. You are an adventurous spirit! I admire you spirit so much! 🙂 I was led to believe that my birth mother may be from Texas because the home for girls she was sent to, though it was in Alexandria, La., housed girls from all over the south and texas. Back then that’s where young girls were sent so as not to cause scandal. Her mother was well-educated and worked and she had a stepfather who it seems was the one who strongly opposed to her keeping me. He kicked her out, maybe? The nuns said that she loved to sew & sing & dance and that she was always happy and was well liked. Anyway, if it’s meant to happen, I’ll meet her one day. AND… Yes, we should definitely plan to meet some day! That would be so fabulously groovy! You are just such a sweetheart. I’m so happy we met. Hugs, Beauty! ❤
